The module optimizes the placement of vehicles in the system in such a way as to minimize the cost of subsequent assignments to orders. This means that by managing the fleet, it is possible to maximize the use of the fleet, i.e. the proportion of profitable km to unprofitable km.

How to manage the fleet to increase the utilization of vehicles (the proportion of profitable to unprofitable km)?

The vehicle relocation functionality is part of the vehicle assignment module. One of the types of orders are relocation orders, i.e. moving vehicles to the so-called "heat zones", i.e. zones where there is or will be demand for a given service at a given time.

We use the Prediction Module (Kairos) to forecast heat zones. Based on the predictive data, the Allocation and Relocation Module optimizes the use of the fleet (where the vehicle should currently be located and what task it should handle).

Relocation tasks are important as they allow to increase the proportion of profitable to unprofitable km, and thus offer better use of the fleet.
